Scholarships

For each Annual Meeting SIOP reserves an amount to be used for scholarships.
People who have insufficient resources to participate in the SIOP meeting can apply for a scholarship.
The scholars apply for a scholarship on the abstract form that they are to submit. After the deadline of submission, all applications are listed and selected by the PODC Committee.

Rules for application of scholarships:

People who wish to be included for a scholarship, must:

• be under the age of 45 years
• be active in paediatric oncology: full time or at least 30%
• be accredited in a hospital with a division for paediatric oncology (proof of their accreditation should be sent together with their letter of application or with their abstract)
• live in an economical less privileged country (OECD status) should enclose a letter by their head of department confirming their age and stating that the applicant is not the recipient of any other financial support

The PODC Committee together with the SIOP Board will select the scholarship recipients.
