The Board is responsible for the regular business of the Society and for promoting the Society's aims. The Board may delegate to the Scientific Committee, or to the Programme Committee, the organisation of the Annual General Meeting, including the vetting of proffered papers, and is responsible for the content of the scientific sessions of the meeting, in collaboration with the local organiser and the chairman of the programme committee. The social aspects of the Annual General Meeting are approved by the Board in collaboration with the local organiser.

The Board administers the affairs of the Society, in accordance with the constitution and by-laws of the Society, and subject to general policy established by the membership. The Board meets at least twice a year to deal with running of the Society and generate new ideas in the field of paediatric oncology. Directly answerable to the Board are the Scientific Committee; the Programme Committee; the Publications Committee; the PODC Committee; any ad-hoc committees established by the Board.
