How to become a member

In order to become a member of SIOP, the applicant should:

obtain the signature of one present Ordinary or Founding member of the Society who is willing to support your application, and who is working in your own country. Where there are no SIOP members from the applicant's own country, the application must ask the signature from the President of his/her continent.

Please be informed that if the applicant has met the requirement stated above, he/she should fill out an application form for membership and send this to the SIOP secretariat.

All qualified applicants will be listed by name, and will be considered at the Annual General Assembly of the Society. Election is by a majority vote of those present and attending the Annual General Assembly. In case nobody objects to the applicant’s membership, he/she will be a member as of the beginning of the following year.
