The Membership Application Form

Should you wish to become a SIOP member, you must obtain the signature of one present Ordinary or Founding member of the Society from your country who is willing to support your application. If there are no SIOP Members in your country, then you should ask the current Continental President from your continent to support your application.

Please be informed that if you have the abovementioned requirement, your application will be put forward to the Annual General Assembly in Berlin, Germany, October 2008. In case nobody objects to your membership, you will be a member as of January 2009.

COSTS OF MEMBERSHIP

The costs of ordinary membership are Euro 185 per year. (People from OECD based less affluent countries can ask to pay a reduced fee of Euro 70 per year)

For this amount you can make use of the following benefits:

BENEFITS OF SIOP MEMBERSHIP

1. Free subscription to the official SIOP journal Pediatric Blood and Cancer (PBC), 12 issues per year
2. Free SIOP newsletters, 2 issues per year
3. Access to the Members section at the SIOP web site
4. An average reduction of Euro 100,- on your registration fee to attend the annual SIOP meeting
5. Opportunity to be actively involved in SIOP activities (SIOP committees etc.)
6. Opportunity to liaise with over 1,350 colleagues and researchers in the field of paediatric oncology
7. Opportunity to host a SIOP meeting
