International Childhood Cancer Day - SIOP and ICCCPO joint campaign

The 15th of February will be a special day this year, not only because it is the International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), it is also a special day because we will take common actions for this day together with ICCCPO. We are planning a postcard event that can be activated and shared worldwide.

What makes the postcard event of this year so special is that for the first time our two organizations are working hand in hand on a joint campaign. This is an ideal opportunity to build closer relationships with ICCCPO members in your areas and so I strongly encourage you to contact and work together with local ICCCPO members on this campaign. Should you not know who are members of ICCCPO in your cities and towns, please get in touch with ICCCPO Secretariat: Ms Marianne Naaf-Wilstra: icccpo-secretariat@vokk.nl who will provide you with the required information.

On the World Cancer Day, we will also be posting a joint statement with ICCCPO on both our respective websites supporting this UICC organized event. The theme this year is “Together it is possible”, which emphasizes that we firmly believe that if all stakeholders join hands we will find solutions to this global epidemic.
